Full-Time **Health &** **Safety Administrator**
Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM, overtime as necessary

**What You’ll Do**:

- Maintains up-to-date health and safety documentation for requisite activities.
- Conducts employee on-boarding and orientation and ensures all employee training is up-to-date and in compliance; including but not limited to, TDG, WHMIS, and Forklift training.
- Maintains accurate records and statistics for accidents and incidents; reporting on trends and participating in investigations where necessary.
- Creates and maintains driver safety files in compliance with National Safety Code (NSC), reviews company NSC profile and conducts Abstract reviews.
- Chairs OH&S Committee meetings; distributes meeting minutes.
- Conducts monthly worksite health & safety inspections, documenting results and reviewing with key stakeholders.
- Represents the company during inspections and external audits.
- Prepares, schedules and coordinates annual safety activities ensuring compliance with WorkSafe BC legislation.
- Assists in revising and developing manuals, standard operating procedures (SOP’s), and policies related to safety and training.
- Researches and analyzes industry trends and standards related to role and responsibility; keeps up-to-date with recent and relevant industry safety standards; participates in educational programs
- Be willing to periodically work flexible hours; mínimal travel to other Branches may be required.
- Participates in other duties and special projects as assigned.

**Who You Are**:

- Courses in Health & Safety, or a related field, with three (3) years’ progressively responsible safety/administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety Program Management (preferred).
- Knowledge and understanding of the Transportation industry and the National Safety Code (NSC) (preferred).
- Ability to analyze and interpret information to create and review processes.
- Be a self-starter who takes initiative and can work independently as well as collaboratively as part of the team.
- Have effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
