**You as an Underground Estimator**:
Analyze contract documents (drawings, specifications, contract deliverables, etc.) to prepare self perform cost estimates of projects for underground water, sewer and utility installation
Assemble accurate, timely and well-organized estimates, including hard-bid, construction management and design-build
Prepare quantity take offs
Organize sub-contractor quotes when the bid is successful, re-writing binders and assisting the buy-out process
Set-up new cost estimates in bidding software
Develop schedule for accuracy and determine production rates
Contact subcontractors and vendors for specific divisions to get external pricing
Monitor the success of a project, noting potential challenges and building relationships with sub-trades for future opportunities
Identify potential project risks
Attend pretender meetings & site visits, where applicable
Work with proposal & operations teams in writing execution methodology, safety plans, Indigenous Engagement Strategies, and quality documentation
Present Estimate to management for Review
Is this the right role for you?
2+ years experience Estimating underground utilities is required
Familiarity with B2W suite and asset
Self-motivated, energetic and reliable with positive disposition
Good communicator with attention to detail and good documentation skills
