**Job Overview**
Food Handlers Certificate Required
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Assist in meal preparation and presentation, ensuring dishes are served at the correct temperature and garnished appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including cooking stations, utensils, and equipment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Help manage inventory by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages as needed.
- Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative ideas for new dishes.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines within the kitchen environment.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food service or restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices, food safety regulations, and meal preparation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
