Delivery Driver

ABOUT EDIBLE ARRANGEMENTS:
Our team is responsible for creating the mouthwatering fruit arrangements, dipped fruit boxes and cut fruit for to-go products, following the operational procedures set by Edible Arrangements; for maintaining a high quality of customer service and product.

Summary of Key Qualifications & Skills Required:
Since most of our day-to-day tasks are simple but done under strict corporate guidelines, we conduct extensive training for our new hires.... this means previous experience with fruit is not necessary; previous delivery experience and/or extensive knowledge of the Waterloo and surrounding areas are.

We are specifically looking for motivated individuals looking for a stable place of employment - motivated, hardworking individuals looking for a place where they fit.

Some traits we are looking for:

- Applicants MUST have a smartphone to do deliveries
- Applicants MUST live locally in KW year-round
- store hours are Monday-Saturday 8-7, and Sundays from 9-3. Applicants must have flexibility to work during those hours as scheduled, including some evenings. Applicants MUST be available during the 9-7 window consistently; available to work assorted shifts if necessary - right now (based on current requirements) applicants must be available Mondays and Tuesdays as these will be your consistent days.
- a positive attitude is a must
- willingness to do hands-on work is a must
- a willingness to work fast and efficiently when the pressure is on, and work longer hours during peak periods - Mother's Day, Christmas, Valentine's by way of example - is a MUST
- excellent communication skills, and patience with Customers and staff are priorities
- ability to read work orders, and follow other verbal and written instructions is a must
- ability to clearly communicate with others is a must
- organizational skills are mandatory
- ability to left, carry and/or push 30lbs
- ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shifts
- a High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- a valid driver's license and good drivers abstract is required.
- applicants must be over 25 years of age in order to meet insurance requirements to use the company vehicle

Summary of Key Duties:

- customer service/polite interaction with recipients
- loads delivery vehicle, ensuring all products are complete and correct, safely balanced in the vehicle
- updates internal system using delivery app
- follows logical/efficient route, ensuring multiple deliveries get safely into the hands of their recipients
- communicates any issues back to supervisor at store, working toward solutions. Such as calling senders/recipients to ensure that someone is receiving the arrangement first-hand and not left at people's door.
- maintains cleanliness of company vehicle, assists with taking vehicle to service appointments/ getting gas
- willingness to use own vehicle during peak rushes, or while corporate cars is in the shop is a definite asset. private vehicle must be smoke free and have working A/C and heat
- Doing any store runs for the store if needed such as water, and/or fruit if the unexpected happens
- ensures the quality of each product reaching customers. Not crushed, fallen over, and/or melted. We need you to care about our designs and the person receiving their gift.
