Northern Gold Foods in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia is looking for a Maintenance Electrician. We offer excellent wages and benefits and a reliable full-time work week.

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A strong background in machinery maintenance
- Experience working with highspeed packaging systems
- Good working knowledge of electrical, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience in welding and fabrication (not required, but preferred)
- The ability to work independently
- Electrical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent English language skills - both written & verbal

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Complete predictive and preventative maintenance, changeover, set-up, and adjustments on processing and packaging equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems using schematics and technical drawings.
- Read and interpret operations manuals to determine work and troubleshooting procedures.
- Communicate the correct operation of machinery and assist operators and quality technicians to diagnose, troubleshoot and rectify a variety of production-based, dynamic, day-to-day challenges.
- Complete logs and communicate with Supervisors, Managers and Operators on work performed.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as jacks, cranes and forklifts to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery.
- Participate in the implementation of various improvement projects.
- All other duties as assigned by your Supervisor.

**POSITION DEMANDS**:

- Standing and walking up to 10 hours
- Lifting and carrying 25 to 50 lbs.
- Continually bending, stooping, twisting, using arms, wrists and hands (including grasping and squeezing) throughout shift
- Occasionally kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, working at heights and climbing steps with ingredients weighing 25 to 50 lbs.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.12-$43.44 per hour
