**Position Summary**
The Hard Rock Casino Vancouver is currently seeking a hands on maintenance technician acting under the Chief Engineer. The maintenance technician will be required to perform installations, repairs and replacements for the entire facility. If you have a strong work ethic, a passion for working with your hands and drive to solve mechanical problems then becoming our next **Maintenance technician 2** may be the perfect opportunity for you Other responsibilities include:
**Duties/Responsibilities**
- Removing and replacing expired lamps throughout the interior and exterior of the facility
- Maintaining a high level of professionalism while providing exceptional guest service at all points of contact.
- Maintains life safety systems such as fire alarms, emergency power, sprinklers etc.
- Performs active or preventative maintenance as directed
- Maintains parts and equipment inventories; anticipates requirements, submits purchase order requests
- Communicated effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Complies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Completing all work orders, as assigned
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed

**Qualifications**
- High School Diploma
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast paced, busy environment
- A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development

- The ability to successfully pass a criminal and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance including mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall repairs, painting, furniture repairs and general facility repairs.

**Work Environment Considerations**
- Standing for long periods of time, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stretching, bending, interruptions, major exposure to heat, cold, noise, odors, minor exposure to fumes, chemicals, dirt, dust, non-traditional work hours

**Salary**: $28.90 per hour
