**Laboratory Technician A**

**What you will be doing**:

- Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions.
- Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal.
- Calibrate, operate, maintain and troubleshoot instruments.
- Compile, verify and validate accurate data records.
- Meet quality assurance and turn around specifications.
- Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Report results.
- Perform basic analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.

**What you bring to the table**:

- Post-secondary education with a degree or diploma in Science.
- 2+ years’ laboratory experience and basic laboratory skills, along with familiarity with lab processes.
- Experience using **GC-MS or GC-FID** Instrumentation** is an asset.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbally communication.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment.

**Work Environment**:
This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. **PPE is required where applicable.**
