The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance of all bakery and packaging equipment.

**Description of Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Maintain, repair, troubleshoot and test all equipment, machinery and components in accordance with established S.O.P’s, GMP’s and Health & Safety guidelines.
- Identify parts/machines that need new parts or require replacement.
- Must be organized and aware of all mechanical needs in order to help production reduce waste (must be proactive).
- Maintain the Chemical Control Log for food grade and non food grade chemicals.
- Inspect all equipment to ensure proper functioning and ensure conditions do not compromise food safety or Team Member safety.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks and repairs on frequency prescribed.
- Ensure that the premises do not compromise food safety or team member safety.
- Ensure that all services and utilities meet prescribed and regulating requirements for food safety.
- Participate on the Joint Health & Safety Committee as needed.
- Job duties are not limited to the above mentioned, applicant must be flexible and willing to help out when and wherever needed.
- Always work safely, keep work area clean and tidy, wear proper PPE, ensure product meets proper quality and food safety standard and work to GMP rules.
- Must be trained on food allergens.
- Any other duties as assigned

**Skills and Experience Requirements**:

- Requires 2 years of hands on experience in a manufacturing environment
- Relevant certificates and diploma's is a plus

**Working Conditions**
- A manufacturing, warehouse and office environment
- Team based atmosphere
- Moderate noise and temperature level
- Periodically working in a cold environment fridge from +6 to -20C
- Periodically working in a hot environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Maintenance: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Electrical License 442A (required)
- Millwright License 433A (preferred)
