The College is looking for a competent **IT Help Desk Technician** to provide fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems.

You will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them. An excellent IT Help Desk Technician must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. They must also be customer-oriented, flexible, and patient.

This position is expected to work on-site at the College’s campuses; **it is NOT a remote location position**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Performing troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
- Responsible for PCs, Printers, and related equipment (Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Hard Drive, etc.)
- Installing and upgrading Windows and software
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
- Diagnose and resolve minor network issues (e.g. LAN Access)
- Prioritize work orders/help desk ticket according to severity
- Create a document for any issue and report events
- Accurately log work orders/help desk tickets and resolutions into help desk software management system
- Determining the best solution based on the issue
- Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
- Perform other duties upon request

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Proven experience as a Help Desk Technician or other customer support role in the IT Field
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
- Tech savvy with working knowledge of MS Office, Databases, and IP PBX System
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- Knowledge of incident tracking system would be an asset
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs to 30 lbs
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
- College Diploma required: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or relevant field considered an asset
- CompTIA A+ and CompTIA N+
