We are looking for a skilled **Procurement Specialist**to manage inventory levels, coordinate purchasing activities, and optimize the procurement process to support our production activities. The role will work closely with suppliers, production teams, and warehouse staff to maintain optimal stock levels, quality standards, manage costs, and satisfy production schedules and demand forecasts. Key ingredients to be successful in this role are:

**Responsibilities**
- Manage and oversee inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock is maintained at all times.
- Coordinate purchasing activities to align with production schedules and demand forecasting.
- Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing
- Ensure cost-effective and timely purchasing while maintaining quality standards and supplier relationships.
- Monitor market trends to identify changes in supply availability and pricing that could affect purchasing decisions.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and analyses to minimize waste and discrepancies.
- Work closely with warehouse staff to oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials
- Generate reports on inventory turnover, purchasing performance, and cost analysis for management review.

**Mandatory Qualifications**
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working with freight forwarders and managing offshore logistics
- Minimum 3 years experience in purchasing or supply chain **in the food manufacturing industry**.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality control processes.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess inventory data and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
