What can I do for Fence-A-Lot?
- We are growing every year, and every year we have more and more work.
We work from sunrise to sundown. If you can’t work during the day, we work in the evenings as well. We understand life gets in the way. We provide a flexible schedule for those moments.
- We have a variety of jobs and tasks available. We typically have two crews: a digging crew and installation crew.
What can I expect from working on a digging crew?
- You are tasked with unloading equipment necessary for your job such as
Wheelbarrow, shovels, etc. from the trailers.
- You are tasked with digging holes either by hand or with a machine. Once all holes are dug, all dirt must be removed from around the holes and cleaned.
Removing the dirt is completed with shovels and wheelbarrows. The dirt is brought by foot to our dump trailer.
- Once the digging and dirt removal is completed, reload the equipment on the trailer and move to the next job site.
What can I expect from working on an installation crew?
- You are tasked with unloading all necessary equipment to cement and install fence posts. Such equipment are cement mixer, wheelbarrows, shovels, etc.
- You are tasked with mixing cement and carrying wheelbarrows of cement to the nearest hole for fence post installation. Repeat until all posts are installed.
- Once all the posts are installed, clean up entire work area and reload all equipment in trailer and move to the next job site.
- Once the cement has dried, the installation crews come back and install rails and boards.
How much am I getting paid?
As we value our employees, we are open to discussing pay rates according to your skill level.
- $22/hr.
- Weekly pays
- Possibility of bonuses
What is my schedule like?
- Flexible schedule - Work daytime, evenings, or weekends. Life throws a curve ball sometimes, we understand.
- Shifts typically begin at 7am in the summer on weekdays. Arriving early to set up your work site is recommended.
What is Fence-A-Lot looking for in an employee?
- We’re looking for reliable, motivated employees who will get the job done well. We take pride in our quality of service and the delivery of our product, therefore, a high attention to detail is needed.
- We are closed during the winter season but we are seeking individuals who are loyal and who will come back year after year to work with us.
