**Summary**:
The main responsibility of the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Coordinator: to provide the necessary resources and support required by our workforce meet all **Technicore Underground INC.**, legislative, and client requirements relating to Health, Safety and the Environment.

**_This position will be site based out one of our field offices within the Greater Toronto Area. _**

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Conduct safety inspections and record and report site non-conformities to appropriate site personnel
- Conduct incident investigations and ensure required external reporting obligations have been met
- Conduct site orientations
- Manage site documentation and records
- Assist in the development and implementation of new documentation for continuous improvement of the Corporate Health and Safety Management System
- Where required assist project team with job hazard analyses
- Ensure inspection and maintenance of all safety equipment on site
- Arrange, participate and document site mock emergency drills
- Liaise with external agencies when necessary (MOL, MOE etc.)
- Support and assist with the _Return to Work Program_
- Ensure training compliance for site personnel and subcontractors and update files accordingly
- Ensure subcontractor and visitor site compliance
- Maintain SDS library and ensure distribution and communication of new documentation
- Monthly participation in worker safety talks to ensure effectiveness of/bolster, the internal responsibility system
- Respond and investigate employee health and safety concerns
- Order safety equipment and supplies as required and approved by the Health and Safety Manager

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety related role in Heavy Civil Construction
- Experience with external audits an asset
- Extensive knowledge of local regulations as they pertain to health and safety and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Experience in tunnelling an asset
- Health and Safety designations an asset
- Able to work flexible hours
- Must have a valid “G” Ontario drivers licence and clean driver’s abstract
