Asset Management Analyst

The main object and purpose of this position consists in analyzing the business requirements in terms of cylinders at the regional level and ensuring efficient distribution of product throughout the country, while maintaining control of cylinder assets. The incumbent have to implement and improve cylinder acquisition processes and to coordinate and facilitate transfers within the Regions. The incumbent is responsible for initiating and following up on asset management projects in order to improve the use of cylinders, while promoting ALC's safety and quality objectives.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Analyses business requirements**:Work with the Analysts, Regional Asset Management to understand the market (seasonality, new customers) and uses various internal sources of information: CPA, BO reports, turns analysis, excess on inventory, to be able to optimize the inventory of the national level.
- **Ensures asset management cylinder assets**: Ensures best utilization of assets and monitors cylinder / product inventory at the national level. Making sure each region has the proper assets and product necessary to optimize customer service. Forecasts needs for new assets, recommends improvements to the cylinder acquisition process, and continuously works on maximizing the use of capital allocation. Manages cylinder movements as well as cylinder loses and damages Identifies investment spending needs or for internal cylinder transfers.
- **Optimizes and improves work processes**: Works with Analysts, Regional Asset Management to analyze inventory levels, customer cylinder balances and identify gaps to develop action plans. Coordinates and participates in different asset management projects in order to identify cylinder re-allocation possibilities.
- **Sources required cylinders**:Sources required cylinders in collaboration with Analysts, Regional Asset Management and CAMP (Cylinder Asset Management Program team) team to satisfy volume increase or new business via the CPA (Cylinder Profit Analysis). Analyze excess inventory for a better optimization and repatriate the excess in the re-test-centers. Coordinate transfers between regions.
- **Ensures activity's follow-up**:Coordinates the capture and reporting process for cylinder asset management. Provides reports concerning sales activities for gas products (amounts sold, amounts returned, customer balances, inventory levels and turn around). Produces reports regarding customers having balances on specific products or negative balances.
- **Participates in marketing activities**: Coordinates, in collaboration with marketing teams, new product launches. Anticipates necessary funds for product launches. Ensures availability of cylinders for launch. Supports product rationalization projects.
- **Quality / Safety**:Actively promotes ALC safety and quality objectives. Knows and respects all procedures for the Metal Fabrication group as indicated in ALC Quality Manual. Makes sure the appropriate corrective and preventive measures are in place in order to answer customer complaints.

**Competencies and Profile**
- Diploma : Post Secondary diploma
- Training : Quality System (ISO),
- Knowledge : computer systems, database management, statistics, cylinder operations activities, oral and written communication skills.
- Experience : 5 years of relevant experience
