Maintenance - Cleaner - Projects

**Position**: Project Worker

**Location**: Vancouver Island, BC (80-90% of traveling)

**Shift**: Evening & Nights, 35-40hrs/week

**Wages**: $20-23/hr

We’re looking for an experienced Cleaner with a passion for a clean space This is a full time opportunity to work for an organization that is proud to provide an essential service - keeping our communities safe & sanitized. This role is provided with a company’s vehicle to go to our different client’s sites.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Clean assigned areas by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, stripping and waxing floor surfaces in assigned areas with use of cleaning equipment, including burnisher and autoscrubber.
- Collect and dispose trash in garbage containers on a regular basis.
- Carpet cleaning, both bonnet and extraction systems.
- Window washing with use of gold glove, dusting window sills and partitions.
- Cleaning the hallways, lobbies, elevators, escalators, washroom and showers.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the site supervisor or manager.
- Follow pre-set policies, guidelines, and rules to maintain a safe working environment.

**You have**:

- A willingness to work and learn
- Flexibility as the hours can be varied according to the business needs
- The ability to obtain a background or security clearance
- Knowledge of WHMIS is not required, but considered an asset
- Class 5 Diver license with clean abstract
- Cleaning experience is required
