**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain a courteous and professional relationship with clients. Respond to inquiries promptly and carry out work as required to satisfy client requests and project quality standards.
- Assist maintenance in scheduling equipment preventative maintenance or repair.
- Build a level of knowledge and understanding of safety practices, scheduling techniques, trade knowledge and employee engagement.
- Lead and mentor employees in safe work practice and knowledge.
- Maintain regular communication with Supervisors and Project Managers regarding project’s progress, risks, and forecasts.
- Immediately correct any hazardous, unproductive, or high-risk situations and report any conditions that aren’t correctable to Supervisor.
- Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems according to specifications and drawings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of piping systems.
- Measure and cut pipes using various tools to ensure proper fit before installation.
- Join pipes using welding, soldering, or adhesive techniques ensuring leak-proof connections.
- Inspect and test piping systems for safety and performance, adjusting as necessary.
- Collaborate with other trades professionals to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Follow all safety protocol, policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Journeyperson will mentor apprentices.

**Requirements and Experience**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Foreperson.
- Valid Provincial Journeyperson Ticket or indentured in a Provincial apprenticeship program.
- Hydrostatic/Pneumatic pipe testing experience

- **Confined Space - In Class**:

- Experience as a Pipefitter in an industrial construction environment.
- Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.
- Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.

**Project: Red River WWTP**

**Location: Winnipeg**

**Rate: $52.02 per hour**

**Schedule: 5x2**
