Plumbing/mechanical Foreperson

Reporting to the Mechanical Operations Manager, the Plumbing/Mechanical Foreperson has responsibility for providing guidance to project staff and is responsible for the smooth functioning of day to day mechanical field operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the Mechanical Field Team: both in terms of day-to-day people management as well as setting the project daily/weekly goals so they are in line with the overall project schedule and plan, complete 1 week and 6 week look ahead.
- Liaison with the Mechanical Project Manager.
- Working with the Site Superintendent/Lead hand, oversee installation to ensure correct rough-ins and installation of material/equipment.
- Monitor QA/QC on site in conjunction with the Site Superintendent.
- Influence, develop and implement quality control plans, safety, and the delegation of work to the field team, contractors and trades people ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Review sub-trade/supplier invoices to ensure there are no discrepancies.
- Mentor and motivate the field team by displaying a positive attitude.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures building codes and legislation.

**Requirements**:

- Broad mechanical construction knowledge; understands planning and scheduling.
- Industry related trade certification/education - must be Journeyperson Plumber/Pipefitter.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Lead hand or Foreperson in the construction industry.
- Ability to implement/coordinate safety programs
- Proficient with computers and various software programs - Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project
- Travel required to various locations.
