**Job Description**:
**SYSTEMS ANALYST, Regional Digital Health**
For over 20 years, Collingwood General & Marine Hospital (CGMH), Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH), Headwaters Health Care Centre (HHCC) and Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) have been in partnership sharing a single Health Information System (HIS) - Meditech. This group has come to be known as the “CARE4 Partnership”. With the implementation of Meditech Expanse, RVH has been identified by the partnership as the Lead agency providing regional Meditech support and some other key services. The primary purpose of this partnership of the four hospitals is to improve patient safety and quality of care by promoting and maintaining a one patient, one record vision in our single shared HIS. The CARE4 Partnership has identified information and technology as key pillar to support a safe and efficient patient experience while driving clinical excellence.

This position welcomes those with experience in an IT related field or with relevant related experience. The position is a combination of many aspects of IT that deliver and maintain solutions for the hospital that will enhance the ability of clinicians to deliver highest quality patient care. A key purpose for this role is to strategically design, implement and support in-house information systems and networked software architectures that support core organizational functions, and assure their high availability.

This position requires direct communication with other RDH teams internal and hospital partners, functional experts, managers, project managers, and other support personnel. **RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Platform Responsibilities
- Define printers, including specialty and label, and assign users to specific printers as well as set up printer use restrictions (e.g. by location).
- Printing Issue escalation
- Set up background jobs to perform automated tasks without user intervention in MIS.
- Assign background jobs to a background job client and backup client.
- Clinical Systems takedown and start-up to allow for patches to be applied
- Start and stop the windows service that controls background job daemons.
- Monitor and troubleshoot background jobs (e.g., completed, running, etc.).
- Print background job data and client information.
- Supporting Decision Support Unit (DSU) and Business Intelligence (BI) department with unknown data location and transfer issues.
- Meditech Application Support (MIS/NMI/Others as needed)
- Point of escalation when critical issues.

Actively Monitor System
- Statistical reporting views are available for RDH staff. For example, using the Performance Log Viewer, you can trend and examine performance logs generated by the servers, including a Summary Graph overview of server performance statistics in a calendar display.
- Database Analysis features, which can be scheduled to run automatically or manually from a server. These tools allow you to collect storage utilization information for all data files and graph summary information about the entire database file.
- Identifying and resolving corruption
- Working with Infrastructure Team/Vendors to resolve performance issues

Integration
- Mirth Interface support and monitoring
- Working with Infrastructure Team\Vendors
- Working with hospital stakeholders for net new interfaces
- Tier 3 point of contact for interface issues
- Ensuring multi-server scripting environment is stable
- Monitor and Support 3rd party software (AutomatePro, Computrition, First Databank, Iatric, IMO, iPeople, Planet Press, Summit)

Project
- Solution Development/Deployment/Support (Office/Automation/PowerShell etc.
- Vetting solutions for viability and identifying gaps, issues and risks.
- Implementing new solutions as required and as complete as possible to full functionality.
- Architecting Printing solutions
- Rescue services for projects point of escalation with critical issues.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 3-year college diploma in Computer Sciences or appropriate professional certifications
- ITIL certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years Health Information Systems (HIS) experience in an enterprise hospital environment.
- HIS Technical Applications;
- MEDITECH experience preferred
- Interface monitoring and support;
- Mirth Certification Preferred
- Summit Scripting/Scripting experience
- MSOffice: Excel, Access, Word, Outlook
