Intelcom is a leading Canadian and Montreal operated last mile delivery platform provider. The company has generated exceptionally fast growth in the last years and projects to maintain this pace in the coming years.

To support its technological transformation and enables data driven decision, Intelcom is currently looking for a data scientist specialized intern in revenue management. By performing demand forecasting and pricing optimization you will be an essential role to help improving Intelcom operational margins and attract new clients

Helping optimizing our processes and accelerating our decision-making process through machine learning capabilities. Working to implement a new Revenue management platform, the Data scientist is responsible to build data models, simulations and support business users’ usage of the models.

Purposing its output as a source to fuel its pricing strategy and evolving the ideal user and client experience overtime.

Your responsibilities would include:

- Analyze and visualize business operations & market data
- Understand the business problem, identify the key challenges, formulate the machine learning problem and provide/prototype solutions
- Collaborate and brainstorm with other team members as well as new revenue management platform consultants
- Build data models and simulations
- Document the technical details of your work
- Incorporate these models into the revenue management platform
- Collaborate extensively with stakeholders, program management, and software development team members to ensure that solutions meet business needs, permit valid inferences, and have functional feasibility.

Your experience and qualifications:

- Three or more years of experience working as a data scientist in core revenue management concepts such as demand forecasting, yield management, pricing, bidding, etc, ideally from the logistics, transportation or distribution industry.
- Two or more years of experience working as a data analyst in a business or scientific context.
- Bachelor or postgraduate degree in computer science, mathematics or physics.
