**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking a Operational Excellence Consultant to join our North Atlantic Business Excellence team, team in Sudbury. Relocation will be required for this role.

As an Operational Excellence Consultant, you will be responsible to lead the development, implementation and standardization of a framework for performance analytical evaluation for critical mining and processing processes to be applied to the North Atlantic Operations, providing data-driven insights and recommendations for NA leaders to support unlock value in North Atlantic operations and clear plan for achieving 5-year business goals.

Additionally, in this position you will:

- Provide technical insights and recommendations to North Atlantic leaders and Corporate teams to influence value unlock decisions, based on operational, statistical and continuous improvement knowledge.
- Analyze Operational 5-year plan to assess confidence levels, main gaps to achieve yearly targets and value levers to increase productivity. Recommend prioritization of critical NA initiatives portfolio to support long-term business goals.
- Support the evolution of the Vale Production System (VPS), according to the corporate, operational and best practices demands identified through external assessments and benchmarking
- Coach and develop individual team members, mentor, and coach junior team members, and ensure positive team synergies. Guide the team in gathering and analyzing information, formulating, and testing hypotheses, and developing recommendations
- Support the wider Technical Services team in driving the overall Business Excellence agenda (e.g. through identification of improvement opportunities, liaising with business to understand key priorities, process data to inform decision-making.)

**About You**

**_Education:_**
- Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Business or a related field. Mine, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred

**Experience**:

- 8-10 years of related experience preferred in an Operational/Manufacturing area(s)

**Skills**:

- Advanced data analytics skills and experience: statistical models, prediction tools and integrated simulators
- Mining or processing processes, Project management; Finance; North Atlantic flowsheet, familiarity specifically with NA mines and processing sites; familiarity with North Atlantic systems and data preferred
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills, including development of concise documents and presentation materials
- Collaboration and strong relationship building skills to manage diverse cultures and multiple levels of management
