**The Opportunity**
We are currently seeking a **Co-op **Student to join our **Operational Excellence Team** in **Sudbury**. This is a **4-12-month fixed term** position.
As a Co-op student within the Operational Excellence (OE) function, you will be interacting with cross functional teams across mining and processing plants and delivering on continuous improvement projects requiring you to take advantage of your creative thinking and deducing inferences from data to support safe and reliable operations and increased business performance.
Additionally, in this position you will:
- Work You will represent the Operational Excellence (OE) organization and participate in projects that support quality by driving increased efficiency and productivity, reduce costs and improve quality and safety.
- Support the generation of performance and compliance metrics
- Support the development of communications for CI key stakeholders
- Data Analytics - Assist in the development of tools to support trending analysis from various quality data set.
- Participate in tasks leading to developing process improvement strategies and executing projects
- Help to manage projects including timelines, action tracking and follow up.
**About You**
- Currently enrolled in BS/MS programs in a science-related discipline or engineering.
- Interests and/or experiences in the following:
- Interest in data analytics and visualization
- Interest in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control
- Interest in Project Management
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills with nimbleness in execution
