Job Summary
Duties
- Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as SyteLine and AS400.
- Manage shipping & receiving activities, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation.
- Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating professional phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Monitor freight status, troubleshoot issues, and provide analysis to optimize delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory movements through data entry and analysis.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams and 3PL providers to streamline logistics operations.
- Assist with shipping documentation, tracking, and compliance requirements.
- Support the analysis of freight costs and logistics performance metrics for continuous improvement. Experience
- Proven experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), particularly SyteLine or AS400.
- Familiarity with supply chain operations, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in typing and multi-line phone systems.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal/written correspondence.
- Analytical skills to interpret logistics data, identify issues, and recommend solutions.
