FANUC Canada is currently searching for a** **Plant Controller **to be responsible for the accounting and internal controls in a plant environment and supervising the various financial transactions, accounting controls, and accounting department functions.

This position will also be responsible for administering the plant's cost control function, including coordinating the plant's forecasting budgeting, and objectives defined by the corporate accounting group.

Primary responsibilities will include:

- Central point of contact between the plant and headquarters for financial and other administrative matters.
- Responsible for planning functions including budgeting and forecasting
- Support management with ad-hoc analysis, reporting and tracking as required.
- Support consolidation accounting as required.
- Monitor performance to targets and policies and communicate effectively with management regarding important trends or variances.
- Perform assigned month end close accounting and reporting tasks including journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations, correcting journal entries, GAAP compliance, trial balance and statements review and other accounting tracking and analysis as required.
- Support quarterly and annual financial statement package preparation and review.
- Support external auditor requests.
- Manage the balance sheet and P&L statement preparation
- Supervises fixed assets for facility.
- Manages A/R & A/P accountants.
- BS/BA Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum five years progressive accounting and financial analysis experience preferred.
- Manufacturing / Automotive Industry experience preferred.
- Experience working with senior management preferred.
- Aptitude to learn and work with various financial systems and databases.
- Strong ability to process, analyze and summarize complex business information using advanced Excel and database techniques.
