**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Prepare, analyze and publish reporting packages with data integrity for the review of Plant Managers, Manufacturing Directors along with the VP Operations and Yorkdale to be used to analyze operations and make strategic decisions.
- These reporting packages include both financial and operational reporting, including KPI’s. This report requires the correlation of monthly operational data (i.e. production metrics) to financial data (cost and profitability) to highlight the opportunity costs of production deficiencies.
- Continuously reviewing identified reporting which flags a lack of timely compliance with plant processes and liaise with plant operations staff to ensure that remedial action is taken in a timely manner.
- Play an active role in supporting the annual planning process with Plant Management, and assisting the plant in determining explanations for variances to plan and Prior year on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure the accuracy of reported costs by continually ensuring the Bill of Materials (BOM) are accurate and reflect the current use or raw materials with production.
- Ensure the safeguarding of company assets through compliance with company policies at their assigned sites. Reported inventory variances which are significant without a reasonable explanation require follow-up and investigative analysis.
- Pursue continuous improvement in reporting operational and financial results using analysis, publishing commentaries for Sr Management using scorecards, dashboards and KPI’s. Participate with quarterly peer reviews of reporting packages to ensure consistency in reporting and continually raise the standard of the team’s reporting.
- Additional Ad-hoc duties, which may include various analysis, including financial modelling.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- 3+ years of progressive with costing or supply chain
- Strong understanding of cost and mgmt. accounting including budgeting, preferably through previous experience in a large multi-site manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of accounting policies including IFRS and GAAP is an asset but not required
- Preference given to those with JDE experience, and advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-focused and commitment to meet challenging deadlines which sometimes require a flexible schedule with a professional commitment to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal supervision and collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure consistency in reporting methodology.
