London, Canada Neighbourhood Pet Clinic Full time

We are looking for a friendly, compassionate, and **experienced veterinary receptionist**to join the NPC team as a full-time or part-time “**Park Ranger”**.

Neighbourhood Pet Clinic is an **independently-owned group of four clinics in London, ON**. Our clinics are designed to look and feel like neighbourhood parks (complete with real plants and running water) providing a less stressful veterinary environment for dogs, cats, and their families.

Our Park Rangers are the **critical liaison between the medical team and our “neighbours”.** While primarily a General Practice, we also offer a wider range of advanced care options between our four clinics, helping to bridge the gap between GP and tertiary care. That means that as part of our Park Ranger team, you'll make a difference by coordinating care for pets in need, and will have more options to connect their families with quality, convenient, and accessible medical services through your work with NPC.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

As a part-time or full-time Park Ranger, your responsibilities will include:
**Front Desk & Hospital Coordination**
- Greeting clients and pets, coordinating appointments, and managing patient flow
- Assisting the medical team with client communications and inquiries
- Handling payments, product sales, and medication questions
- Addressing challenging client questions with professionalism and care

**Back-of-House & Veterinary Support**
- Weighing patients and providing hands-on feline/canine restraint for procedures
- Housekeeping, laundry, cleaning exam rooms, and disinfecting runs/cages
- Stocking supplies and unpacking orders
- Opening/closing cash drawers and running end-of-day reports

**Communications**:

- Providing medical triage, booking appointments, handling prescription/nutrition questions
- Updating medical records and logging communications professionally

Flexibility to work at any of our four locations is valued, though full-time Park Rangers are typically assigned a primary location.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Completion of an **Animal Health/Veterinary Office Administration Program or Veterinary Assistant Program (or equivalent experience in a veterinary clinic) is required**:

- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm under pressure
- Flexibility to work at multiple locations is preferred
- Experience working with animals, specifically canine and feline handling

**WHY JOIN US**
- Competitive pay with opportunities for professional development
- Work for an **independently-owned clinic free from corporate oversight**:

- Supportive, collaborative team environment with structured onboarding and training
- Benefits: A tax-free health spending account for medical expenses
- Access to mental health support services
- Discounts on veterinary services, including one complimentary annual Membership
- Pet food at cost from Royal Canin, Hill’s, or Purina
- Flexible uniform policy: Your choice of black pants + 3 embroidered shirt options
- 2 Paid Volunteer Days + 2 Paid CE Days (for full-time team members)
- Birthdays off — Paid (for full-time team members)

As a Park Ranger, you’ll be part of a team delivering exceptional care, elevated client experiences, and meaningful impact on the pets and families we serve.
