Amentum is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to support a construction project contract in Ontario for approximately one (1) month.
**Responsibilities**:
Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals.
Be responsible for the planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments.
Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work.
Select materials necessary for the work.
Using the design drawings, measure and layout metal plate and tubing during the installation process.
Utilizing metal fabrication tools to cut / shape and prepare metal plate and tubing into components required by the design drawings.
Working with welders and other members of the team in erecting the steel plate and tubing.
Assist with the overall project goals, to include material handling, housekeeping and various activities that may arise during the course of the work.
Performs other all duties and activities as directed.
**Minimum Requirements**:
High school diploma
4 years working in the trade
Due to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. citizen
**Preferred Requirements**:
Construction Journeyman
Overseas experience
