**Your role**
- CBC has an amazing opportunity for an individual to join our team in London, Ontario, where you’ll be contributing to the successful operations of an innovative station that leads the way in storytelling on digital, radio, television and social platforms.- You are committed to reflecting contemporary Canada inside your newsroom and through the content we create. You thrive on conversation - both with staff and the communities we serve.- You put audience needs at the centre of your decision-making, and are committed to reflecting stories from London and area in your daily journalism. You understand the role of the public broadcaster in building a stronger local community and in building a stronger Canada. Your storytelling is inclusive and you have demonstrated experience creating content that reflects people of Colour, Black and Indigenous communities. You are a champion of creating an inclusive news and current affairs team, in your editorial choices and within your team.- You inspire people to bring out their creative best. You make story your number one priority, and guide reporters throughout the reporting process, from pitch, to gather, to production. You understand our different platforms and how to shape a story to play into each of its strengths.- You are committed to creating a trusting relationship with the morning show team, and with the audiences of London. You focus your daily decision making to ensure London Morning and our London news content on digital and broadcast platforms holds people in positions of power to account, and sets the agenda for the story people in the city will be talking about that day.- As a Producer, Multi-platform Content, your primary role is to support London Morning and audio platforms, however you assist in the production of stories and segments for local and network digital, radio, television and social newsgathering. You have an ability to work with journalists to help them shape stories through audio, video and photography.- You are an energetic, disciplined, creative and innovative individual who is experienced at building a team; excels at mentorship; is as comfortable creating content in a social media platform as you are on-air; and above all knows what it takes to drive a team to create compelling content.- Work must adhere to CBC journalistic and/or program policies, standards and practices, as the Producer is ultimately responsible for ensuring that this occurs. There may be wide latitude for initiative, independent judgment and creativity.
