**Activation/Life Enrichment Aide - Long Term Care**

**Casual position - no guarantee of hours**

The Life Enrichment staff reports directly to the Director of Resident Family Services. The Life Enrichment staff is accountable for the provision of a range of rehabilitative and leisure programming that meets the residents physical, social, and emotional, spiritual and intellectual needs. These programs must be of high quality, evidenced based, and provided in a manner that is consistent with Grove Park Home’s Vision and Mission Statements, the Long Term Care Guidelines and other applicable regulations and guidelines.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Completed or working towards a degree, or diploma in Rec and Leisure or Social Services and Gerontology.
- Experience working with the elderly and cognitively impaired
- Must be computer literate and experience on Point Click Care, RAI-MDS would be a definite asset.
- Initiative, creative, strong organizational skills, well developed communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and also be a strong team player
- Must be available for days, evenings and weekends
- Class “F” license, and/or musical ability, and/or dementia experience an asset

**KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES**:

- Computer experience and keyboarding ability - Point Click Care documentation
