**Summary**

Under the authority of the Site Manager, the Building Maintenance Technician performs diverse manual tasks concerning building maintenance and operations.

**Responsibilities**
- Execute preventative and corrective maintenance routines as assigned.
- Interact with and direct external contractors as required.
- Assist in maintaining the facilities in order to provide comfort to all occupants;
- Complete scheduled Preventive and Corrective Maintenance tasks within agreed upon Service Level Agreement (SLA);
- Carry out minor repairs, such as patching and painting, tiling, flooring, minor plumbing and roof repairs, electrical repairs, (non energized), carpentry and furniture moves, etc.;
- Maintenance of all types of doors and their hardware;
- Replace burnt-out lamps/ceiling lights, and soiled ceiling tiles;
- General cleanup of the work areas and technical rooms;
- Use hand and power tools and other equipment, as necessary, to complete assignments;
- Propose to immediate superiors any modifications aimed at improving energy efficiency, system protection and operation, quality of the environment, as well as operational optimization;
- Perform all other tasks related to the maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in the building;
- Participate in repair and/or installation projects for systems;
- Follows all company safety and security procedures;
- Enter and complete work orders utilizing the mobile CMMS provided;
- Completes all other tasks required by his immediate supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- High School diploma or equivalent;
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a relevant field;
- Previous experience in a commercial facility maintenance role;
- Able to use handheld portable devices to process work orders within CMMS;
- Ability and willingness to work in all types of conditions such as extreme weather, and heights up to 50 feet;
- Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Valid forklift license (an asset)
- Must be available on call outside business hours (on a rotational basis);
- Experience in technical background, repair/maintenance to HVAC and building controls (an asset)
