**The Role**

As a Bakery Team Member, you will be responsible for assisting with the production of high-quality baked goods and the production of high-quality baked goods in a large-scale bakery and production facility. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with the preparation and production of baked goods, in accordance with established recipes and procedures.
- Shaping dough such as breads, pies, pastries, cakes, etc.
- Decorating baked goods with frosting, icing, and other toppings as needed.
- Operating bakery equipment, such as mixers, ovens, and proofers, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintaining a clean and organized bakery environment, including equipment, utensils, and workspaces.
- Ensuring that all baked goods are baked to the appropriate temperature and consistency, and are visually appealing.
- Assisting with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and notifying the bakery team leader when supplies need to be reordered.
- Adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper storage, handling, and labelling of food products.
- Assisting with the cleaning and maintenance of bakery equipment, as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Previous experience working in a bakery or food service environment, with a basic understanding of baking techniques and ingredients.
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team, and to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and other team members.
- A commitment to cleanliness and food safety, with a deep understanding of regulations and best practices.
- The ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time, and to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- A positive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
- The ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
