**Position Summary**
As an **HR Generalist,** you will play a key role in delivering HR support to various operational sites across Ontario. This hands-on role requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working in both corporate and field environments, supporting managers and employees on a wide range of human resources functions.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries at multiple sites.
- Partner with site managers to support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Provide guidance on employment legislation and compliance with Ontario labour laws.
- Support performance management processes, employee engagement initiatives, and retention strategies.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training programs and health & safety initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with company policies and legislative requirements.
- Participate in investigations and conflict resolution as required.
- Contribute to HR projects and the continuous improvement of HR processes.
- Participate in the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Advise and assist various stakeholders on the interpretation and administration of HR policies, programs and best practices, and Collective Bargaining Agreements where applicable.
- Conduct research, data analysis, benchmarking, and prepare reports specific to HR processes.
- Consult on issues related to employee relations, performance management, and other strategic initiatives.
- Prepare HR-related documentation, including performance management, offer letters, attendance management etc.
- Create and provide training on HR policies and new hire orientation.
- Assist in investigations.
- Facilitate formal communication and consultation processes with staff ensuring appropriate involvement of all stakeholders; and
- Other related duties as may be assigned.
- ** Travel Required**:Yes - regular travel to operational sites across Ontario.
What will you bring?
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in Human Resources is required.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a Human Resources.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- CHRP designation (or working towards it) is an asset.
- Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word; intermediate Excel and PowerPoint).
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to travel within local ON facilities (approximately 25%).
- Experience in a unionized environment considered an asset; and
- Experience working in a waste management, transportation or manufacturing environment considered an asset.
