Its wide range of products includes thermal aluminum window and window wall systems, swing doors, sliding balcony doors, steel insulated aluminum framed doors, the Euro Door, an all-aluminum glass balcony door, sliding, awning and casement windows, curtain wall, aluminum railings and aluminum panel systems. AWD also manufactures insulated glass and insulated panels used in its windows.

Aluminum Window Designs (AWD) fabricates commercial and residential thermally broken aluminum window products. Specializing in the integration process of architectural metal and glass products such as curtain walls, windows, doors, rain screens, ornamental metal and aluminum architectural railings.

Our companies are internationally renowned for manufacturing quality aluminum window and door products. We also maintain a network of factory authorized professional Window and Door installation companies as well as our internally supervised installation services.

**JOB DUTIES**:

- Design railings systems and draft shop drawings, details, and guidelines
- Review architectural and shop drawings, specifications, and samples for design inconsistencies and conflicts (Architectural, Structural, Shop Drawings, Fabrication Drawings)
- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Collaborate professionally with project team regarding design revisions and finalization
- Planning and executing shop and fabrication drawings with input from the design team.
- Identify missing or unclear architectural drawing items and generate concise RFI’s to resolve each.
- Resolve outstanding drawing issues and pursue contract clarifications as required
- Check fabrication releases.
- Provide frequent contact and interaction with project managers, and project field personnel.
- Perform quantity take-offs of the materials, whenever required

**SKILLS REQUIRED**:

- University graduate/college diploma or enough experience in the industry.
- Must be proficient in drafting tools like AutoCAD ; experience for at least 3-5 years
- Must have prior experience in construction industry for 1-2 years.
- Excellent skills in Excel, AutoCAD, takeoff software and Microsoft Office
- Must have a fundamental understanding of Building Science related topics and issues.
- Strong time management skills to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be organized and self-motivated
- Strong mathematical skills are an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
