SureCold Refrigerated Storage requires a Health and Safety Coordinator for our Surrey, BC warehouse location.

**Nature of Position**: Shift schedule to be determined. Availability for the odd evening shift is required.

**What You’ll Do**:
As our Health and Safety Coordinator you will be responsible for performing a variety of occupational safety programs and serves as the coordinator for the quality assurance programs. The Health and Safety Coordinator will also support the warehouse by completing other administrative functions.

**You Will**:

- Responsible for safety orientation, safety training, job site inspections and reporting.
- Perform job site safety compliance inspections including hazard analysis, safe work procedures, written reports and recommendations.
- Responsible for monitoring adherence to the company safety program by all SureCold employees and subcontractors.
- Coordinate inspections, investigations, and occupational safety activities with departments.
- Research occupational safety information to assure the best available methods and equipment are adopted to minimize the hazards in the workplace.
- Maintain current quality assurance (HACCP) program and participate in annual audits as required
- Provide training to managers and others on occupational safety issues.
- Assist in the delivery of 3/6/12 month reviews
- Perform 30/60/90-day safety reviews for new employees
- Help to ensure organization wide compliance with policies, procedures and applicable regulations.
- Lead and participate on the Joint OH&S committee and maintain required compliance and training files
- Oversee training matrix, assignments and ensure completion of required trainings
- Manage internal cleaning contract
- Complete weekly orders including office supply and grocery orders
- Organize employee appreciation and team building events
- Performing office duties as required

**What You Need to Get the Job Done**:

- Highschool diploma required
- Some college/university education would be an asset
- One to three years' experience in occupational health and safety
- Very organized, with excellent multi-tasking, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
