We’re looking for a Reporting Associate, Deposits to join the MCAN’s Treasury team
Summary
The Reporting Associate, Deposits ensures superior operational execution, governance, and compliance by overseeing payments, settlements, record maintenance, and reporting for deposit operations, delivering timely reports for regulatory and operational requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and provide daily and internal reporting for measuring and monitoring department operations.
- Ensure accurate posting of journals to the G/L via monthly suspense reconciliation.
- Execute deposit rate changes and distribute broker rate sheets.
- Initiate daily cheque and EFT proposals and provide EFT payment confirmations to brokers.
- Monitor and update the US persons log monthly.
- Prepare and deliver monthly Commission Statements and Agent Trial Balance.
- Lead annual and periodic regulatory reporting, including CRA, CDIC, FATCA, and CRS reporting.
- Execute tax slip preparation and mailout, including T5, RSP statements, contribution receipts, NR4, and RLE (Quebec).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Support business continuity readiness through cross-training and plan updates.
- Contribute to policy and procedure development, reporting systems, and internal controls.
- Coordinate materials and liaise with auditors for internal and external audits.
- Train new team members as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial reporting or a related role.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as CDIC, FCAC, FINTRAC, and PIPEDA.
- Experience with deposit operations and compliance.

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
