**LABORATORY TECHNICIAN - Hydrogen Deuterium Exchange (HDX) Mass Spectrometry (MS) lab**

**The Role**

As a Laboratory Technician, you will perform a variety of lab tasks to help prepare client sample reports and ensure the highest quality of results for our clients and researchers.

**Responsibilities**
- Follow standard operating procedures for sample preparation for routine LC-MS/MS analysis
- Support the operation and maintenance of advanced state-of-the-art liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC-MS) instrumentation
- Assist scientists in method development and process optimization
- Work both independently and collaboratively with other R&D members in a multi-disciplinary team setting
- Maintain good laboratory records
- Other duties may be assigned

**Requirements**:

- Post-Secondary program completion (degree or diploma) in a related field: biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology.
- Familiarity with computer data systems.
- Willingness to perform routine tasks while focusing on reproducibility and accuracy.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Practical and theoretical knowledge of common lab equipment (pipette, pH meter, centrifuge, balance etc.) as well as common lab techniques.
- Ability to work as a team and to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
