The Centre provides culturally responsive autism services targeting culturally and linguistically diverse families. Using a multi-disciplinary approach, our Centre offers a dynamic range of services that support the development of individuals on the autism spectrum at all life stages, along with their caregivers.
**Your Role on Our Team**
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Clinical Supervisor will develop, lead, and support ABA programming at the SAAAC Autism Centre as well as in the community. The Clinical Supervisor will bring a strong knowledge of ABA principles to design skill acquisition and behavior support plans for individuals with ASD. The Clinical Supervisor will provide supervision, mentorship, and training to staff working directly with clients, using positive and effective approaches to preventing/addressing challenging behaviors. As a Registered Behavior Analys (RBA), you will be responsible for managing a client caseload. This includes overseeing clinical programming of the clients, and supervising an ST (supervising therapist) and instructor therapists implementing the clients’ behavior plans.
**Main Responsibilities**
Provide clinical supervision to instructor therapists in the Focused ABA program. Service models include 1:1, dyads or ABA groups.
- Clinical oversight and accountability for individualized functional behaviour assessments, evidence-based behavioral treatments and ongoing program evaluation
- Observe clients regularly to ensure integrity of client programs and collect IOA data
- Develop individual behavior plan for each client. Write and review individualized programs, analyze program data to ensure appropriate progress and effectiveness
- Supervise instructor therapists in the correct implementation of programs, and routinely coach and give feedback to enhance staff development and skills
- Adhere to standard guidelines provided by the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts (CPBAO) and the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Consult and work with an interprofessional team and parents/caregivers/mediators to ensure continuity of care and work with other professionals in various settings (i.e. school, daycare)
- Meet regularly with the Director of Clinical Services (RBA/BCBA) to ensure the provision of effective and efficient service delivery
- Lead weekly team meetings
- Liaise with parents about program outline, service contract, client progress and any
other concerns when necessary
- Provide parent training and coaching as necessary
- Develop discharge reports for clients exiting services
- Adhere and know legislative requirements and professional standards
- Follow all SAAAC health and safety protocols
- Facilitate center wide training and professional development opportunities
- Perform administrative related tasks such as scheduling, invoicing, hiring new staff, etc.
- Be able to work flexible hours (i.e. evenings and weekends)
- Complete staff performance evaluations on a regular basis
- Ability to travel within City of Toronto when needed
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Registered as an RBA (Registered Behavior Analyst) under the CPBAO
- Masters degree in Behavior Analysis or Psychology
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory role (supervising staff and client programs simultaneously)
- 3-5 years experience in delivering Applied Behavior Analysis for the treatment of
children and youth (i.e. up to 18 years of age) with an Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Knowledge of OAP funding process is an asset
- Knowledge of Autism and Developmental Disabilities, community-based services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
**Additional Qualifications and Requirements**
- Police Clearance - Vulnerable Sector Check
- Prior experience as a clinical supervisor is an asset
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months
Pay: $70,000.00 per year
