Claims administrator and service rep Summary Overview

We are looking for thoughtful and motivated individuals to join our company. The Claims Administrator supports team members through timely and efficient administration of claim processes, and as the first point of contact for our customers to guide them through the claims process. The Claims Administrator is guided by procedures and works under the moderate supervision of the Department Supervisor and Senior Adjudicator.

Essential Responsibilities
- Ensures the timely setup of claims
- Prepares Claim Kits in a timely manner to be sent to claimants
- Inputs and prepares correspondence within established service standards
- Supports the company’s customer service delivery promise by establishing first contact with client/claimant, providing information, managing expectations, and communicating ongoing claim status updates
- Provides prompt and appropriate action in support of workflow for team
- Updates Portal
- Collects deductibles
- Reviews and analyzes data to determine benefit eligibility and gathers policy information relating to the claim
- Provides ongoing and timely communication with our customers based on department protocols (including status updates, request information and general enquiries)
- Gathers information and responds appropriately to questions.
- Participates in team alliance to ensure optimal workflow and adherence to client service levels.
- Acts as liaison with different departments
- Routes documentation/mail and inquiries to other team members
- Inputs cheque requests using payment database
- Responds to incoming enquiries from our customers, vendors, medical offices, etc.
- Prepares correspondence as required
- Other duties as assigned

Language and Communication Skills

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) as well as fundamental computer navigation and typing skills required.

**Qualifications**:

- College or experience equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Organized and detail oriented
- Excellent attendance and performance record
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Able to rate information using standards that can be measured or checked
- Able to assess and perform mathematical operations quickly and accurately
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to take initiative

Our office is located in Toronto (North York) just off of Hwy 401 and DVP, and is accessible by TTC. Free parking is also available for those who drive. Hours are full time (40 hours/week), with assigned 10-hour shifts/4 days per week (including 2 weekends per month during peak season)

Available between 8:00AM and 8:00PM Monday through Friday, and weekends.

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Customer Support & Client Services Occupations: 2 years (preferred)
- Customer service: 2 years (preferred)
