Manager, Communications

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans to align with organizational goals and enhance brand messaging.
- Lead internal communication efforts to foster staff engagement, transparency, and alignment with the agency’s mission and values.
- Oversee external communications, including media relations, press releases, and community outreach, to raise awareness of agency initiatives.
- Support leadership in crafting compelling narratives and targeted messaging for campaigns, events, and crisis management
- Conduct recruitment, performance evaluation, coaching, and discipline, according to Human Resources policies.
- Represent the agency in sector committees and advocacy initiatives, strengthening partnerships and public relations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**What You Will Bring**:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5 plus years of progressive experience in strategic communications, preferably in a social services or non-profit environment.
- Strong knowledge of the Jewish community is required.
- Strong leadership abilities and experience managing staff and/or vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear, compelling messages.
- Experience with media relations, crisis communications, and reputation management.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools, including social media management and content creation platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize deadlines effectively.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including internal teams, donors, media, and policymakers.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and editing skills.
- Superior verbal and written communications skills
- High level of database skills and computer literacy
- Strong research skills
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a team player with proven ability to work well with diverse groups of people including staff and volunteers
- Comprehension of French or another language will be considered an asset

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000
