**Now Hiring an Outdoor Assistant Yard Manager for Spring 2025**

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and lead yard staff to ensure productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of materials and equipment, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain an organized yard layout to optimize space and accessibility for vehicles and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of the yard to identify hazards or maintenance needs.
- Implement safety training programs for all staff members to promote a culture of safety.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring that supplies are adequately stocked while minimizing waste.
- Prepare reports on yard operations, including staff performance, inventory levels, and safety incidents.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in a supervisory role within an outdoor yard
- Must have knowledge of landscape supply materials
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an outdoor yard
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and/or forklifts
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.
