**Technology Help Desk Co-op Student**

- Hourly Wage: $25.00/hour_

**Hours of Work**:
- 8:30 am to 4:30 pm- Monday to Friday

**Summary of Position**:
The Technology Help Desk Co-op Student will provide first level technical support and customer service to users experiencing issues with hardware, software, and other IT-related systems. This role is ideal for students looking to gain hands-on experience in IT support while contributing to the school’s efficiency.

**Specific Accountabilities Include**:
- Identify, document, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for all members of the BSS community - in person, over the phone, online and via the Help Desk ticket system- Follow up with users to communicate status of problem resolution and ensure user needs are met- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.- Test, troubleshoot and update classroom equipment including projectors, interactive white boards, audio equipment and remote learning tools- Assist in maintenance and development of Help Desk technical information library to document Help Desk processes and maintain an accurate hardware inventory- Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff or external vendors as necessary.- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving help desk processes.- Assist with the setup of new equipment and systems as requested- Move, lift and deliver equipment- Other duties as assigned

**Skills, Experience and Attributes Include**:
- Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related program.- Knowledge of Mac and PC operating systems and hardware- Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.- Strong verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Keen interest and understanding of evolving technologies- Ability to multitask, organize, attend to detail and problem solve- Strong interpersonal skills- Ability to lift 30 lbs
