**Job Details**:
Rural Connect Ltd is a Municipally Controlled Corporation that designs, builds and operates broad band networks to provide high speed internet services to rural communities around Alberta. Overseeing design & construction of networks, maintenance and day to day operation, to provide flawless connectivity for our end users. We provide internet to Alberta on an open access network platform.

This position will report directly to the Vice President of Operations.

**Project Manager Skills & Qualifications**
- Demonstrate a commitment to Safety, knowledge of safe work practices, and safety management programs
- Knowledge of broad band networks, material, equipment, electronics and operations
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced analytical and time management capability
- Previous experience of network construction and operation or previous experience with electrical systems construction and operation
- Experience with Break / Fix or Routine Maintenance scheduling
- Project Management Experience: job costing, scheduling, change order management, and progress tracking.
- Create RFP packages for construction builds
- Experience in material management, purchasing and tracking
- Contract Management
- 3-5 years experience working as a Project Manager

**Project Manager Duties & Responsibilities**
- Provide feed back and constructability concerns around network design
- Inspect installations and equipment to ensure they are as per design, and installation details
- Create or modify construction schedules, and progress reports
- Manage and track material orders for various projects
- Oversee 3rd party construction of fibre optic installations, Wireless towers, and system infrastructure
- Tracking of project documentation, red lines, asbuilts, inspection test check sheets
- Track project cost against budget and provide suggested corrective actions to maintain budget and schedule.
- Generation of internal and external cost and progress reports
- Proficient in change order management
- Experience in lump sum and time and materials contract management
- Bid evaluations for vendor selection for construction
- Inspection and verification of construction installations, and work practice during the construction phase
- Oversee: network commissioning, and transition to operations (TTOPS)
- Review turnover documentation from construction and commissioning, testing documents, as built drawings,
- Assist in budget projections for future builds, capital requirements

The role will require a combination of home office and site work. Hours may vary but office hours Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
- PMP Certification or Equivalent, Construction Management & Administration Certificate, CET, Telecommunication, Electrical, or Instrumentation background.
