**We are currently looking for a US Tax Specialist to join our team in Montreal.**

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrating an understanding of increasingly complex U.S. tax concepts
- In collaboration with other tax professionals, developing recommendations and implementing tax plans by preparing tax analysis and memoranda
- Assisting with research for U.S. consulting mandates
- Preparing U.S. Federal and state income tax returns for individuals
- Preparing U.S. Federal and state income tax returns for business entities
- Litigation support including representation to the taxation authorities and preparation of appeals
- Providing clients and partners with quality, timely and responsive services
- Developing practical and business-oriented approaches to the client’s tax situation and arriving at appropriate conclusions
- Contributing to the development and execution of the firm’s business plan

**What you need to succeed**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting
- U.S. CPA or Canadian CPA designation would be an asset
- Relevant work experience in a public accounting firm, an asset
- Experience or interest in U.S. tax compliance, an asset
- Ability to work within a varying work schedule and within required budgets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Bilingualism, English, French would be an asset)
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Experience with CaseWare and TaxPrep, an asset
