Payroll Specialist

By supporting our clinics with a world-class leadership team, market-leading support services, and an iconic brand experience, we deliver "remarkable" results that improve the lives of our clients and team members. **POSITION**: Payroll Specialist **LOCATION**: Montreal -Hybrid (~2 days per week in office with the rest remote) **DEPARTMENT**: CPP Corporate **REPORTS TO**: VP Finance **JOB OVERVIEW**: **KEY DELIVERABLES**: - Calculate and process payroll for all employees, including hourly, salaried, and commissioned workers. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee compensation, taxes, and benefits. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including tax laws and labor laws. - Prepare and distribute pay stubs and W-2 forms to employees. - Respond to employee inquiries and requests for pay stubs and tax information. - Process manual checks, including bonuses, advances, and garnishments. - Reconcile payroll records with the general ledger and other financial reports. - Prepare and file payroll tax returns and reports, including 941s and year-end W-2s. - Work with HR and finance departments to resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies. - Stay up-to-date on payroll and tax laws and regulations and maintain a working knowledge of best practices in payroll processing. **REQUIREMENTS**: - Detailed oriented individual (excited to go deep into the numbers and ensure they are correct) - Proficient with excel and a strong interest in math (no calculus but you need to like numbers) - Excellent organizational skills **NICE TO HAVE**: - 2+ years of experience in payroll processing and administration. - Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations, including tax laws and labor laws. - Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information. - If you are a motivated, detail-oriented individual with a passion for payroll processing, we would love to hear from you **UNIQUE BENEFITS OF JOINING CPP**: - Competitive compensation package including health & dental benefits with annual compensation increases - Experience HYPER growth (Learn from proven management who already have the funding in place) - VERY clear direction on what we need to accomplish to be successful - Great culture and people first organization that embraces and rewards those helping to build a fun and drama-free work environment We here at CPP strive to build a workforce comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds, abilities, minds, and identities that will help us grow as a company and as individuals.
