We are seeking **Machinist (Machine Operator) **for one of our clients in **Concord, ON.**

**Job description.**
- Operate, adjust and set-up any and/all conventional lathe, drill press and other machines, tools to cut or grind metal or other materials to make or modify parts or products with precise dimensions.
- Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces.
- Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations, taking measurements.
- Detect malfunctions; adjusting and resetting controls; sharpening

and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and
processes.
- Fit and assemble components and machined parts to close tolerance.
- Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision

measuring instruments ∙ Use precision measuring tools or equipment such as micrometers, gauges, callipers, etc.
- Use hand or power tools.
- Knowledge of metric and imperial system.
- Examine products or work to verify conformance to drawings and specifications.
- Follow process control procedures.
- Read and understand drawings, blueprints, designs, sketches, technical data, charts and tables
- Read and understand manufacturing outlines for all products.
- Read work order, instructions, formulas or processing charts.
- In-process product testing.
- Record test results, test procedures or inspection data.
- Maintain production and/or work records.
- Maintain equipment by following instructions.
- Document and report deviations from drawings, blueprints, specifications and tolerances ∙
- Ensure production schedules are meet at all times.
- All work to be performed within allotted time.
- Adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Use hazardous materials information.
- Other tasks as assigned.

**Education**:
Machinist trade diploma issued or recognized by government agencies; education may be substituted with minimum 10 years hand-on experience as machinist that encompass activities listed in job description.

**Experience**: Minimum two (2) years hands on as winder

**Working conditions**: minimum two (2) years hands on as machinist operating standard (manual) lathe, grinder, etc.

**Pay Rate**: $23 - $29 per hour.

**Shift**: Monday
- Friday, 7:00 - 4:00 pm

**Safety**: Criminal record check (fingerprints), TB testing and ITAR compliance

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$29.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:
