- Must be able to provide excellent customer service through educating, promoting and consulting with customers to support our brand and customer loyalty.
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be fluent in English
- Must be dependable and self-motivated.
- Must be able to work weekends and be available at floral peak periods.
- Must have good computer skills (FTD and TELEFLORA knowledge being a great asset but not mandatory)
- Have excellent communication, motivational and team player skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, inclusive of maintaining the store front, back and the walk-in cooler.
- Have multitasking skill
- Retail experience is an asset
- Have a passion in the floral industry and is willing to learn
- 1+ years of experience in retail or floral industry is preferred or willing to be trained. Physical Requirements:
- Lifting/carrying 25-40 lbs
- Standing for extended periods of time (8 hours)
- Exposure to pollen
- Repetitive use of hands (8 hours)
- Use of scissors or a knife Customer Service Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting and serving customers
- Providing fast and efficient service
- Handling customer’s problem immediately, within company guidelines.
- Entering all customer information into the computer
- Knowledge of floral products and care
- Care and processing of product
- Knowledge of prices and delivery schedules
- How Forest of Flowers® wrap bouquets, arrangements, etc.
- Must be sales oriented and being proactive
- Must understand and practice up selling to maximize a potential sale and ATV.
- Maintain the presentation in the cooler
- Willingness to learn basic vase arrangements, bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres
