Heritage Christian Online School (HCOS) is a thriving online learning community offering K-12 home and online education to students across the province. HCOS provides flexible solutions and programming tailored to every child's learning journey.

HCOS Education Assistants are independent contractors who are resourceful and innovative educators, providing student support to Home Learners within the Inclusive Education Department.

We are looking for a dynamic, **part-time Education Assistant**to work with Inclusive Education students in their family homes in **White Rock and Langley**.

Specific training working with students with diverse abilities, such as an Education Assistant certificate (or equivalent), is preferred.

**Responsibilities**

As an Education Assistant, your duties and responsibilities will include:

- Supporting academics at grade 9-12 levels
- Supporting executive functioning and self-regulation
- Contributing to the social, spiritual, and academic growth of the student, providing mentorship to the whole person
- Collaborating with the Case Manager and the parent to support personalized learning opportunities
- Assisting in carrying out IEP goals, working alongside the broader student support team

- Understanding of autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, PDA and other diverse abilities
- Proficient with Zoom, Google Workspace and other technology
- A valid Class 5 driver's license

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $23.97-$28.13 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 15 per week
