We provide customized and innovative monitoring solutions and have all the resources required to complete the various phases of instrument installation and commissioning throughout construction. Our worldwide operations deliver projects in multiple sectors, including mining, civil engineering, energy and the environment.

We are seeking an energetic person for the role of **Geotechnical Monitoring Labour** to be based at our **Toronto office** located in **Mississauga, GTA.**

**Responsibilities**:
In this hands-on position you will be responsible for:

- Performing the maintenance of the Geotechnical and Optical Monitoring points
- Helping field team for the preparation of construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards, load and unload frequently heavy materials, and follow directions from supervisors and other field personal

As experience is gained, an employee progressively becomes more skilled and uses more independent and take care of instrument installation on its own.

**Skills/Qualifications**:

- Graduation from a standard vocational or high school and some experience as a trades helper; or any equivalent combination of training and experience
- Some knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, materials, and equipment of the building trades
- Some knowledge of the occupational hazards of building trades and of necessary safety precautions
- Ability to develop skill in locating and correcting defects in building installations, fixtures, and equipment
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Skill in the use and care of tools and equipment of the building trades
- Strong work ethic and willing to do what it takes to get the job done
- A valid Ontario driver’s license with access to a vehicle

**Physical Requirements**:

- Physical strength and stamina

- Ability to continuously stand or walk
- Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds
- Able to manipulate small power tools

**Salary**: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
