**PURPOSE OF POSITION**:
A Warehouse Associate in the Returns Department is responsible for counting, sorting, and logging returned books that we receive from various bookstores across Canada. This position is hands-on with the product, and requires the use of a computer and scanning system to process returns quickly and carefully.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Open cartons of product (primarily books). Ability to lift 30-40 lbs required.
- Sort product by condition according to client specifications (i.e. assess if damaged or if it can go back into inventory).
- Scan product and enter condition and quantities accurately into computer system.
- Record basic details on product paperwork.
- Repack product into cartons and place on relevant skids.
- Sort books by title, repackage into cartons of same titles and label to go back to stock.
- Adapt to new standards and procedures, depending on the client and/or product being worked on.
- All other duties as assigned by the Manager.
- Use Warehouse equipment (pump truck to move skids of product to and from work station, box cutter, tape gun, computer and scanner).
