ROHI Engineering Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our firm as a full time Biologist and Group Manager. ROHI’s main office is located in Ponoka, Alberta. We have a dynamic work atmosphere with project managers and professionals experienced in the road and bridge engineering, civil engineering, upstream petroleum and land development, as well as other associated business sectors. We integrate technical engineering and biological disciplines to support projects across central and northern Alberta. Qualifications:

- A B.Sc. or M.Sc. - specializing in environmental science, biology, ecology, or a related field
- Professional Biologist Designation
- Qualified Aquatic Environmental Specialist (QAES) and Wetland Authenticating Professional (WAP) designations or the ability to obtain these designations
- A minimum of 7+ years experience in the environmental consulting industry
- Construction environmental inspection and monitoring experience (sediment and erosion control, wildlife sweeps, turbidity monitoring, etc.)
- Experience with Pre-Disturbance Assessments (terrestrial vegetation and soils)
- Experience completing wetland assessments including identification, classification, and delineation (WAIF, WAIR)
- A high level of proficiency with report and proposal preparation (excellent technical word and data management skills)
- Experience completing biophysical field assessment and associated reporting
- Management of regulatory approvals experience (DFO, AEP, AER, Transport Canada)
- Proven record of managing personnel and resources
- Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
