**Job description**:
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Agent to join our finance team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing and processing invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. You’ll work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate records, assist with month-end closing, and resolve any payment discrepancies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review all invoices prior to entering in AP.
- Process payment requests (checks, electronic transfers & wires).
- Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly.
- Respond to all vendor inquiries.
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.
- Resolve issues and take immediate action to ensure the same type of issues do not arise again.
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
- Assist with other projects as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable Great Plains is an asset.
- College courses in accounting preferred.
- Strong work ethic.
- Must be well organized and a self-starter.
- Must be able to follow standard filing procedures.
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable.
- Effective time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
- Ability to speak and write English and French fluently.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
