Greenspace Plants Inc. is a full-service, women owned, indoor plantscape company based in Vancouver, Canada. Since 2014 we have brought a fresh approach to indoor plantscape design and plant care for a wide range of organizations in BC.

The Greenspace team is a tight knit, diverse group who work both together and independently to bring life to offices and restaurants all around Vancouver. We value employees who are driven, positive, and reliability is a must As a remote indoor plant care gardener, you'll be responsible for tending to a variety of indoor plants for our clients, ensuring they thrive and flourish in their indoor environments. Your duties will include watering, pruning, fertilizing, repotting, and providing general maintenance to keep our clients' plants healthy and vibrant.

Job requirements:
**Education and Training**:

- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A degree or certification in horticulture, botany, or a related field is an asset.
- On-the-job training in indoor plant care will be provided by Greenspace.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Understanding of basic horticultural principles, plant biology, and pest control.
- Knowledge of different types of indoor plants and their specific needs (identification, lighting, watering, temperature, etc.).
- Good problem-solving skills for diagnosing plant issues and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Be able to work with a close knit team as well and independently.

**Physical Fitness**:

- The ability to lift and move heavy plant containers and equipment.
- Physical stamina for standing, bending, and kneeling during plant care activities.

**Customer Service Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, answering questions, and providing plant care advice.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with clients.

**Attention to Detail**:

- Keen observation skills to identify signs of plant stress, diseases, or pests.
- Attention to detail in arranging and maintaining indoor plant displays.
- Plant design/Interior design experience is an asset.

**Organizational Skills**:

- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently, especially when caring for multiple clients' plants.
- Ability to plan an efficient driving route according to a given schedule.

**Technical Skills**:

- Must be comfortable driving in downtown Vancouver and on the Highway.
- Must be comfortable driving large vans.
- Familiarity with the use of basic horticultural tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, fertilizers, and other plant care products.

**Problem-Solving Skills**:

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plant health, such as diseases or pests.
- Ability to think on the spot with a changing schedule, make the best use of time.

**Flexibility**:

- Willingness to adapt to changing schedules, client preferences, and new plant care techniques.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $25.65 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
